Position Overview: As a Field Application Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our client's customers by providing technical expertise, training, and exceptional customer service related to their biotech capital equipment. You will collaborate closely with research scientists, lab managers, and technical teams, ensuring optimal utilization of the equipment and contributing to the success of critical research projects. This role requires a strong blend of technical proficiency, communication skills, and a passion for advancing scientific knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site installation, setup, and calibration of biotech capital equipment at customer sites.
- Provide comprehensive training to end-users on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and optimize equipment performance for specific research applications.
- Assist customers in experimental design and protocol development, leveraging your deep understanding of the equipment's capabilities.
- Serve as a technical resource for customers, offering guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective utilization of the equipment.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and participate in exhibitions or conferences.
- Gather customer feedback and insights, conveying valuable information to internal teams for product improvement and development.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and applications, continuously expanding your technical knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a field application specialist or similar role within the biotech or life sciences industry.
- In-depth knowledge of biotech capital equipment and instrumentation used in research laboratories.
- Strong hands-on experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel frequently to customer sites across Singapore.
- Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
