Our client, a leading European manufacturer of performance polymers, are looking for a commercial expert in polyamides to join their team as Head of Sales Germany, within the Industry & Consumer sector.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and manage: You will take on the disciplinary leadership of a talented team of sales engineers & key account managers. Your role will include mentoring, motivating, and guiding the team to achieve their best performance.
- Expand customer base: Grow our international customer base, specifically within the industrial and consumer goods sectors. This will involve identifying new market opportunities and building strong relationships with potential clients.
- Innovate with high-performance polymers: You will drive the realisation of new applications using our cutting-edge high-performance polymers. This will require you to stay updated with the latest industry trends and innovations, and apply this knowledge to meet customer needs.
- Customer support and project management: You will provide both technical and commercial support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service. Additionally, you will manage international projects, coordinating efforts across different teams and regions to deliver successful outcomes.
- Strategic planning: You will be responsible for creating and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve our corporate goals. This will involve analysing market trends, setting targets, and monitoring progress to ensure we stay on track.
Desired Experience:
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams effectively.
- Educational Background: Engineering degree in plastics technology, mechanical engineering, economics, or a comparable technical education.
- Sales Expertise: Extensive experience in sales, with a solid understanding of the plastics industry.
- Initiative and Results-Oriented: High degree of initiative, commitment, and results-focused mindset.
- Strong Communication and Language Skills: Clear, goal-oriented communication in English & German.
