Role Summary:
As an MSL, you will serve as a key scientific resource, fostering relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals. You will play a pivotal role in communicating clinical and scientific insights, supporting product development, and contributing to our mission to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions within the assigned territory.
- Present clinical and scientific data to healthcare professionals in one-on-one and group settings.
- Provide medical and scientific support for product launches and ongoing education initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the medical community to provide balanced, objective, and scientific information.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Clinical Development, to support strategic initiatives.
- Gather and communicate insights from the field to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Support clinical trial initiatives, including site selection and investigator engagement.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree required (OD, PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) with relevant experience in ophthalmology.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
- Strong understanding of ophthalmology and applicable therapeutic areas.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across a large geographic territory.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) within the assigned territory.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Established relationships with KOLs in the ophthalmology field.
