Title: National Account Director
Reporting Relationship: Senior Director, Market Access
The National Account Director (NAD) is responsible for managing relationships with national insurers, PBMs, and other key healthcare stakeholders across a national USA geography. The NAD reports to the Senior Director, Market Access, and works cross funcationally with sales, patient access, marketing, and medical teams.
Key responsibilities include managing access for insurers, GPOs, Medicaid, Medicare, and Federal programs, as well as implementing strategies to ensure optimal product access. The NAD will provide competitive intelligence, collaborate on tactical plans, and lead initiatives to improve patient experience and strengthen customer relationships.
Essential Duties:
- Secure product coverage with commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare insurers and PBMs.
- Manage policies, prior authorizations, and access strategies.
- Lead initiatives to improve product access and patient experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop strategic plans and collaborate on market access goals.
- Provide insights on market trends and competitive intelligence.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience across commercial functions in the pharmaceutical industry
- 3+ years experience of payer account management
- Buy & bill and specialty biologics experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of payer access strategies and reimbursement mechanisms.
- Experience across account planning, payer contracting, contract management, etc.
